so i am at the laundromat sitting on the table because a crew of boys came in just to watch football leaving me with no stool! go to a bar ppl!
so i had a strange dreams last night all involving food:
i was delightfully eating carrots in the shape of blueberries and cucumbers shaped like apples. maybe it means things are not what they seem but they still taste yummy!

wow! i just was sent a friendster message (i haven't checked my frienster account in a year or so) and received this:
This is Lucas, that guy you knew in Rochester who worked at Lori's a few years ago. You remember me! Anyhoo, I just wanted to let you know that Sara and I just had a baby last week and we named her Wanette because we love the name so much.

Susan B. Anthony
I went to the Susan B. Anthony's house in Rochester today for the first time. She fucking rocks...she never married and devoted her life to the suffrage movement. i got to stand in the same room in which in she got arrested in 1873 for illegally voting! here is a pic of her in her office surrounded by pictures of women-folk!

i quit!
smoking that is....yes I quit smoking yesterday mainly for health reasons. i went to the doctor and had a larnyxoscopy (little camera dwn my throat) and he said i have the most extreme case of acid reflux he has ever seen for someone my age. and so it came down to you better quit or you will have this horrible burning sensation for the rest of your life....sigh. okay okay i know smoking is so bad for you in general not to mention how much money you throw away but i have come to depend on smoking in the following situations: while talking on the phone, while driving, while stressed, while drinking coffee and adult beverages. so this is going to be a complete restructuring of how i go about doing things everyday. i spent most of the day in bed (i'm still in my pjs) due to the extreme headaches and bitchiness. wish me luck because i'm going to need it. i need a hug!

oh roch!
So today Trudes and I went shopping at this new fab TJ Max-ish store called A.J. Wright in Webster. I spent close to two-hundred dollars on work clothes. I haven't bought NEW clothes (meaning not thrift or vintage) in years so it was very excititng day for me! You gotta look fashionable in front of a classroom when all eyes are on you right? Anyways I got two skirts, four shirts, two sweaters, three pairs of pants, AND a stylish black leather Nine West mondo size bag for the lesson plans.
So at A.J. Wright I saw 50 cent's fashion line, G-unit, and the quality was surprise..... busted (thin cheap looking material and weird vertical zippers). The juniors and misses section was a bead and glitter explosion, as part of the bohemian/gypsy look that has been taking over the clothes racks since early spring 2005. I got sucked into the shimmery-goodness and bought three items with beads. Hopefully I can pull it off....
Now I have the clothes for the job, now I just have to iron out the syllabus and start working on the lesson plans thats all. At least classes don't start until the 6th.

kool-aid
just made my first summer batch of cherry kool-aid.
question: can kool-aid go bad??
as i stirred the 1 cup of sugar, water, and packet together i saw little black chunks floating in the red summer juice. yes my container was clean but maybe the kool-aid was old since it was from last summer. but the kool-aid sure does taste good, yum cherry sugar liquid!

Sooo its been a while since i've posted on LJ, im back in action!
so today i woke up a bit grumpy, i hate when that happens-bleh! but i slowly got outta the funk by watering my garden and planting wild flowers in the front of my house before facing the powerpoint presentation that scares me so. i have my defense soon (Wed-2 days!!)....so i sat in my kitchen with my refrigerator hummin loudly and ran through the first pass of the defense. i blubbering to myself and the imaginary committee i set up to the right of me. i know first tries are always the hardest but man why can't i just be naturally articulate?! practice girl practice. as PP says, everything will work out. i plan on practicing at least three more times before i subject a human to my word trippings and blubberings [thanks PP]. so i better get on it. but its memorial day-shouldn't i be respecting those who have died in the name of the US of A by drinking beer by a river or attending another BBQ? just trying to cop out of work that needs to be done.

newbie
there is a first time for everything! and here's my first mark on the intro-net in the world of blog.
it was suggested to me to join a cyber community. at first i was thinking so what the hell am i gonna say: "oh so did i tell you about ME ME ME oh and did i tell you about ME! but then soon realized it doesn't have to be an egofocused rant, just whats on my mind and an additional avenue to expell the rumblings inside.
so anyways back to ME, talked to my sister new with baby this morn. its so strange when ppl become parents they exude this glowing energy and occassionally sneak in babytalk towards adults. for example, "hoooooow arrrrrrrre youuuuuuuu?" and i respond "i'm faaaaaaaaaaaaaab!" good times.
speaking of good times i gotta get back to this thesis of mine, i guess this piece of work is like my child. it requires a good amount of attention, work, patience and grooming. gotta get back to the grooming (cutting off the crap parts and making it nice and clean).
